Debra Siebert holds a D.M.A. in Vocal Performance from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, an M.M. from Baylor University and a B.M from Brigham Young University where she also studied conducting, and traveled abroad with the BYU Singers chamber choir. She started piano studies at age 4, and began composing and arranging at age 14. An equally experienced vocalist, she was a winner of several awards with NATS and Met competitions, and sang professionally on opera stages across the US and Italy as a Mezzo-Soprano. She has held contracts with Houston Grand Opera Chorus and also was a member of Houston Symphony Chorus, and recently the Assistant Conductor of the Colorado Springs Chorale.  Her education and community service span all ages; she has a published musical educational DVD for young children, started a non-profit organization offering performing arts opportunities to the Greater Houston community including musicals to sell out audiences, founded Katy Youth Choir and partnered in starting Katy Youth Symphony in Texas. Dr. Siebert taught adjunct Voice at UNLV, and has directed choirs for middle school and high school, and is currently the Director of Choirs at Widefield High School, and Assistant Conductor at Cornerstone Chorale in Denver. She has regular singing engagements and also conducts choirs regularly for church and community choral events, is a regular member of non-profit boards, and a member of NATS, CMEA, and ASCAP.  Her husband is the meteorologist and Director of Operations for WeatherNation, and together they have four children and two grandchildren. Their family of vocalists have published an album available on all audio platforms.
